Author Guidelines

Tourism Empirics publishes short, empirical papers and research notes that advance the tourism and hospitality literature through rigorous, data-driven analysis. Submissions must present original empirical results supported by transparent methods and appropriate statistical or econometric evidence. Purely conceptual, theoretical-only, or commentary-style manuscripts are not considered.

Aims and Scope

We welcome empirical work from all subfields of tourism, hospitality, and related areas (e.g., tourism economics, destination marketing, sustainable tourism, tourism geography, sociology of travel), provided that the study is clearly positioned within the tourism literature and supported by credible data and analysis.

Submission Format: “Your Paper, Your Way”

We believe that formatting should not be a barrier to sharing high-quality research. Therefore, Tourism Empirics follows a flexible formatting policy for initial submissions. Authors may submit their manuscript in any layout or formatting style (font, margins, spacing) as long as the document is clear, readable, and internally consistent. If accepted, the editorial team will handle final typesetting according to the journal’s house style.
